Romelu Lukaku has heaped praise on Rangers star Alfredo Morelos for his superb act of sportsmanship in their 5-2 Europa League win last night.
The Colombian striker was through on goal at one point but with a Royal Antwerp player down injured, he stopped the game, denying himself a chance to score.
Morelos did grab his team’s opening goal as Rangers progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League at the expense of the solid Belgian outfit.
The 9-5 aggregate victory wasn’t all as straightforward as it sounds and Steven Gerrard’s men had to work hard throughout the two legs.
After last night’s contest, Inter striker Lukaku felt the need to take to Twitter to praise Morelos for his act of kindness.
Fair play to morelos from glasgow rangers. Through on goal and stopping for an injury of the opponent.. great sportsmanship 👏🏿👏🏿

Lukaku has taken Serie A by storm since joining the club from Manchester United. In 81 appearances for the Italian giants, he has scored 57 goals and claimed 11 assists.
Both he and Morelos will have something in common this season. The strikers will both hope to end the dominance of other teams and lift league titles in their respective divisions.
Rangers are 18 points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership and need just seven points to lay their hands on the title.
It’s a little bit tighter in Italy, with Inter four points clear of Milan and eight clear of Juventus who have played a game less.
Very few would have backed Morelos to complete such an act of sportsmanship last night given his less than impressive disciplinary record.
Under Gerrard’s wing, however, he’s perhaps mellowing somewhat and he’s still the main source of goals at Ibrox.
The challenge for Rangers will come in the summer when clubs will almost certainly come sniffing around the £32,000-a-week player.
