Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt is attracting attention from clubs in Italy and England, according to the Sun.
They report that Roma are in the driving seat and are ready to offer £25m as they seek a long-term replacement for former Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov.
The Champions League semi-finalists are apparently confident that such a lucrative bid will convince Palace to part with one of their most important players midway through the season, while Juventus and Manchester City have also both registered an interest in the player.
While Roy Hodgson would doubtless rather keep the Dutchman, bringing in a cash windfall with which to strengthen his squad next month may well appeal.

Also, Hodgson has Jeffrey Schlupp in reserve and if van Aanholt does depart, it could hand Pape Soaure a route back into Palace’s first-team plans.
The Senegalese left-back has dropped out of contention and with his contract running out in the summer, he is in the last-chance saloon in an attempt to save his Selhurst Park career.
But van Aanholt’s departure could hand him the opportunity to force his way back into Hodgson’s plans as he looks to put together a side that can steer clear of relegation.
