Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia are set for further talks over Bryan Gil, with all sides hoping to agree a deal for the winger next week.
Perhaps surprisingly, Gil has been involved in Antonio Conte’s plans at the start of his season. He is yet to play a minute for Tottenham this term. But he has been on the bench for all three of their Premier League games.

Nevertheless, he looks set to leave before the deadline passes. He has been linked with a move away throughout the window. Of course, he spent the second-half of last season out on loan.
And it appears that Valencia are pushing to get a deal done. Romano has now reported on Twitter that Spurs will meet with Los Che imminently to hold further talks over Gil’s future.

Crucially, all parties hope to reach an agreement in the coming days…
Tottenham hope to agree Gil deal
Some may be disappointed if Gil now leaves Spurs. He has arguably not had enough of a chance since moving to North London.
He clearly has a lot of talent. Graham Roberts previously suggested that he had the makings of a ‘superstar‘. And he did well back at Valencia last season.
Having said that, there is one very exciting upside to Gil leaving. Antonio Conte confirmed on Saturday that no player in his plans will be allowed to leave unless a replacement is brought in.
So if Gil goes, Spurs will surely sign another player.
Obviously, that is particularly encouraging given that Gil looked to be on the periphery of his plans. So there may be hope that Tottenham will go on to land an upgrade.
