Fabrizio Romano has shared a positive update regarding reported Newcastle United target Benoit Badiashile.
The Magpies have been heavily linked with the Monaco defender in recent days.
The Daily Mail claimed on Sunday that Newcastle had opened talks over a move for Badiashile.

However, the 20-year-old had to come off in the 43rd minute of Sunday’s draw with Nantes.
RMC Sport then reported that Badiashile would be missing six weeks of action.
This would mean a move to Newcastle could’ve been off the cards.
Now, Romano has claimed on Twitter that Badiashile may not be out for as long.
“From today’s medical tests, AS Monaco expect Badiashile to be back with the team in 2-3 weeks,” he wrote.
“Timing will be key to understand next steps.”
Badiashile came through the ranks at the Stade Louis II and made his breakthrough in 2019-20.
The 6ft 4in ace has made 105 appearances for Monaco, including 20 in all competitions this season.
