Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are looking set to miss out on one of their summer transfer targets with Fabrizio Romano suggesting on Twitter that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is ready to accept an offer from Napoli.

It has been a turbulent time for Kvaratskhelia. He was playing for Rubin Kazan until his contract was suspended. And he has since joined Dinamo Batumi on loan.

That had alerted a host of Premier League sides. Reports claimed that Tottenham were ready to make a move for Kvaratskhelia – and he could cost just £12.5 million.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Leeds are both monitoring the Georgia international. He had provided five assists in the top-flight for Kazan this season.

However, it appears that the raft of Premier League sides keen on the winger are set for disappointment.

Romano has now taken to Twitter to suggest that Kvaratskhelia is edging closer to moving to Napoli. He is apparently ready to accept the offer to move to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Tottenham and Arsenal fans will hope something more exciting than Kvaratskhelia deal this summer

Kvaratskhelia is certainly a major talent. He has even been lauded for having ‘crazy technique‘. And at 21, there is scope for the youngster to improve considerably.

It could prove to be an inspired move from the Serie A side. But Tottenham and Arsenal fans may hope that their sides have something more exciting lined up.

Both sides have young, talented wingers in their ranks. And they will now have their sights set on the marquee deals that will elevate them to the next level.

There is certainly reason to think that both Spurs and Arsenal will bounce back from seemingly missing out on Kvaratskhelia.
