Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Destiny Udogie in his latest YouTube video.

Spurs have already made six signings this summer, and now they’re seemingly closing in on one for the future.

On Tuesday, several outlets including Sky Sports and the Evening Standard claimed that Tottenham had agreed a deal over Udogie.

Spurs will reportedly sign the 19-year-old for an initial £15million, which could rise to £20million with add-ons.

In addition, Tottenham will loan Udogie back to Udinese for the 2022-23 campaign, added the reports.

Romano corroborated the above reports in terms of Spurs’ intention to loan the player back to the north-eastern Italian club.

He also claimed that Tottenham duo Fabio Paratici and Fabio Conte are “in love” with the player and see him as a potential future star at N17.

“It’s already here we go for Tottenham, the signing of Destiny Udogie,” Romano said on his YouTube video.

“This winger, he can play as left-back especially, from Udinese. Born in 2002, talented boy, Italian boy.

“He will stay at Udinese on loan for one season, but Tottenham will sign him for the future.

“So he will join in summer 2023. He will have his medical in the next days with Tottenham.

“Fabio Paratici, director, and Antonio Conte, the manager, in love with this boy.

“(They are) convinced that he could be the future for Tottenham.

“And so Udogie will be new Tottenham player for 18m euros plus around 7/8m euros in add-ons.

“The deal is set to be completed, there is an agreement with all parties involved.”
