Romano says Leeds looking to agree new contract with Summerville
Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to suggest that many clubs want Crysencio Summerville, with Leeds United looking to agree a new contract with the Dutchman.
Summerville is one of the players at Elland Road whose current deal expires next summer. The Athletic recently suggested that the Whites have opened talks over fresh terms for the 20-year-old.
But he is attracting interest. Romano has suggested that Nottingham Forest and AZ Alkmaar are pursuing deals for the winger. But many others are in the mix.
The journalist suggested that Leeds want a resolution as quickly as possible as they look to agree a new deal with the wide-man.
Here is what Romano posted…

Leeds looking to agree new Summerville contract
Summerville is in an interesting position at Elland Road, it seems. He was in and around the first-team for much of last season. And he was undoubtedly one of the best performers for the under-23s.
Kalvin Phillips labelled him a ‘serious‘ player on Instagram. And there is certainly a special talent in there should Jesse Marsch be able to get the best out of him.
However, there has to be a question mark over whether he is suited to Marsch’s preferred system. Leeds may look to play in a much more narrow style next season.
And with that, wingers such as Summerville may find it more difficult to force their way into the side.
He can play in a more central position. But obviously, he is unproven in that role at first-team level.
So Leeds may have plenty to ponder if they cannot agree a new deal with Summerville and a substantial bid comes in this summer.
