Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Leeds United’s pursuit of Rasmus Kristensen, with the journalist claiming on Twitter that a first bid for the right-back is ready to be made.
The Whites were one of the first Premier League sides out of the blocks in the transfer window. They pushed a deal for Brenden Aaronson over the line after keeping themselves in the top-flight.

And it seems that another Red Bull Salzburg player may be on their way to Elland Road. Reports on Tuesday claimed that Leeds want Kristensen.
In fact, it was suggested that the Whites are confident of signing the £10 million-rated 24-year-old. And it seems that Leeds are now ready to confirm their interest in the defender.

According to Romano, Leeds are about to make their first bid for Kristensen. Meanwhile, he suggested that agreeing personal terms is not expected to be any sort of issue.
Leeds ready Kristensen bid
Kristensen has a remarkable record for a right-back. He has scored 10 goals and contributed nine assists in all competitions this past season. He actually outscored Aaronson by some way.
His arrival would certainly lead to questions about the future of several players. Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas are currently sidelined with long-term injuries.
But Jesse Marsch also has Jamie Shackleton and Cody Drameh available to him. Both players are likely to have concerns should Kristensen come in.
In fairness, the Denmark international will expect to immediately find himself at the top of the pecking order. He has played more games under Marsch than any Leeds player.
Shackleton is heading into what feels like a crucial period in his Leeds career. He has shown a lot of promise. But his versatility has perhaps counted against him and prevented him from getting closer to holding down a more regular spot in the side.
Drameh meanwhile, left on loan in January in search of first-team football. He will surely not want to be third or fourth choice during the coming season.
