Fabrizio Romano has told his Here We Go podcast that he has been told Liverpool ‘love’ Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma, ahead of January.
Danjuma, 24, has been excellent since swapping Bournemouth for the Spanish club – joining Villarreal for a fee of £21million, as per reports.
It comes after 22 goal involvements during 33 Championship appearances for the Cherries last season. He netted 15 goals, creating seven more.
Now, he is shining under Unai Emery. The Spaniard is getting the best out of the three-time Netherlands ace, scoring seven goals this season already.
Two of those seven have come in four Champions League outings. Romano says his form has not gone unnoticed at Anfield, with Liverpool keen.

“Liverpool are looking for wingers because in January they’ll be losing Salah & Mané,” Romano said. “No panic buys.
“Only if they have a good opportunity they’ll do it. I am told Liverpool love Danjuma, but Villarreal have no intentions of opening talks in January.”
Romano on Danjuma: Villarreal ace is perfect for Liverpool
But given he cost north or £20million in the summer, the fact he is in sensational form, and that it is January – he would probably cost a fortune.
Villarreal will be desperate to keep him, as Romano states. But money talks and Liverpool come in with a mammoth offer, then a deal could be done.
But realistically, are Liverpool going to spend north of £40million on a player that will be back-up – when Mo Salah and Sadio Mane return?
Probably not. Diogo Jota is different, given he is arguably a replacement for Roberto Firmino. Danjuma would be ideal, but very expensive.
