Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to offload Marcos Rojo in the January transfer window in order to make room and raise funds for a superior central defender.
The Birmingham Mail report that Wolves have been alerted to this development as they were keen on signing the Argentine in the summer but were not able to get the deal over the line.
That transfer failure may well be explained by the fact Rojo apparently called Wolves a ‘minor club’ and claimed he had no interest in going there.
That’s an insult to an historic club embarking on a hugely exciting journey and if Rojo didn’t want to get on board then, Nuno Santo should not go back in for him in January.

On top of that, Rojo’s injury problems have heavily restricted his gametime this season and it is unlikely he would arrive at Molineux match-fit and ready to play.
Any deal for the Argentine would likely be very expensive indeed given Rojo is currently earning Champions League wages and only signed a new deal at Old Trafford in March.
Santo already has one hugely impressive defender in Leander Dendoncker who cannot get a game because his defence has been so formidable, so it’s tough to see why he would feel the need to spend big on a half-fit Rojo, who has failed to convince in England since arriving in 2014.
