Rodrigo Bentancur has been singing the praises of Tottenham teammate, Heung-Min Son, admitting he has speed that ‘can kill you’.
Bentancur has become a key player for Tottenham since arriving in January. However, he is very much in the group of players who go about their business quietly, with the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, and Dejan Kulusevski often getting the headlines.

However, it’s clear those players impress their teammates too and Bentancur has been lauding Son ahead of their upcoming World Cup clash in Qatar.
“Son is the strongest player South Korea have. I take advantage of it today as a teammate, but in the World Cup, we are going to be rivals. He has an impressive ability one on one, a speed that kills you, and he hits the ball very well with both feet. He’s going to be a very difficult rival,” Bentancur told ESPN.
Son roared back to form last time out for Spurs in hammering Leicester City 6-2. After being left out by Antonio Conte, Son came off the bench to rifle in a hat-trick.
TBR’s View: Son Can Shine In Qatar
Son’s hat-trick last week was a reminder to everyone just how good the South Korean can be. He showed all the prowess of the world-class forward he’s become and proved to Antonio Conte how vital he can be.
For Bentancur, it’s a pleasure for him to play with Son as well. Clearly, he knows he has a fine teammate and he’ll be making sure his Uruguay teammates know all about him come the winter.
Son is one of the very best in the world on his day and if he plays well in Qatar, there is very much a chance that South Korean go further than many might think.
