Former Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado has heaped praise on Harry Kane during an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.
The Granada striker spent two years at Tottenham and didn’t really make much of an impact in North London.
He scored 16 goals and claimed 11 assists during 76 appearances for Spurs and was at the club when Kane was coming through the ranks.
The 27-year-old is now one of the most complete centre-forwards in world football, scoring 204 goals in 309 games.
Soldado believes that Kane’s meteoric rise from a first-team hopeful to world-class status is through sheer hard work.

He told AS: “He was a player from the youth setup who had very good qualities. When he started to get minutes he always stood out.
“He was a goalscorer. Everything he has achieved is on his own merits, and the best thing he has is his winning mentality. He is a born goalscorer.”
Kane looks set to break some serious goalscoring records during his time at Tottenham and with England.
He currently has 152 goals in the Premier League and needs 109 to eclipse Alan Shearer at the top of the scoring charts.
At 27, you’d be hard pushed to bet against him doing that.
For England, he has found the net on 32 occasions and is already closing in on Wayne Rooney’s record of 53.
TBR View – Tottenham have a gem in Kane
It’s easy to see why Spurs fans love their academy graduate so much.
His natural-born ability to score goals from all over the pitch is a trait that can’t be taught.

Not only is he a goalscorer but this season he has shown that he can adapt his game.
His partnership with Son Heung-min has been a joy to behold, with Kane claiming 13 assists so far this season.
Tottenham are desperate to end their wait for some silverware and will want to do it sooner rather than later.
With Kane in the form of his life, why not this season for Tottenham?
