Brendan Galloway was once tipped for stardom at Everton by former boss Roberto Martinez. Now, however, the forgotten man has finally secured his Goodison Park exit.
As reported by Sky Sports, Everton have allowed the 23-year-old to join the newly-promoted side on a free transfer. Galloway will reunite with Martinez’s former Everton assistant, Luton manager Graeme Jones, at Kenilworth Road.
It was under Martinez that Galloway made his debut for the club. Galloway impressed in his early days at Goodison Park. Indeed, Martinez waxed lyrical about the player, as reported by the Liverpool Echo. The Spaniard dubbed him ‘phenomenal’ and predicted a long future for him on Merseyside.
“We’ve got high, high hopes for him. He’s been phenomenal in the under-21s.
“That’s what we are as a football club, we’ll give opportunities to young players if they deserve it.”
However, Galloway never made it as the long-term Leighton Baines successor many expected him to be.
A series of unfortunate events seemingly ended his Everton chances.

A loan move to West Brom in 2016 was an unmitigated disaster. The Zimbabwe-born star played just three Premier League games for the club before being unceremoniously dropped.
A similar loan to Sunderland was also a failure, mainly due to the managerial changes and general malaise at the Stadium of Light.
The managerial situation at Everton also failed to help Galloway. Martinez, the man who had such lofty plans for the youngster, was sacked in May 2016 and the left-back was forgotten in the shuffle.
It simply never happened for Galloway at Everton. Hopefully, a move to Luton can help him get his once promising career back on track.
