Robert Snodgrass has shown his Celtic allegiance on Instagram by teasing Alan Hutton, after Aston Villa icon Gabriel Agbonlahor posted a picture of the Scottish defender from his Rangers days.
Snodgrass, 32, remains an important part of West Ham’s side as he begins to enter the latter stages of his career. This season, the 28-time Scotland international has had a hand in 10 Premier League goals in 24 appearances.
Back in 2015, Snodgrass admitted he trained with Celtic and Rangers as a youngster – before describing the atmosphere at Celtic Park as “a dream”, during an interview with the Daily Record.
On Tuesday, ex-England international Agbonlahor posted a picture on Instagram of former Aston Villa teammate Hutton – but uploaded an image of the “Scottish Cafu” in a Rangers shirt.
Hutton was on the books at Aston Villa for eight years after joining in 2011, before eventually leaving the Midlands side in 2019. The defender enjoyed an excellent career with more than 400 club appearances, 122 of which came with Rangers.
Upon seeing Agbonlahor posting a picture of Hutton in a Rangers shirt, Snodgrass responded – with the West Ham ace having played alongside both Hutton and Agbonlahor during a Villa loan spell in 2017-18.
The West Ham star showed his Celtic allegiance by saying he does not miss Hutton in a Rangers shirt.
