Bowen, described as ‘a real livewire’ by Gary Neville at the weekend as the Hammers faced Manchester United, has been absolutely key for David Moyes.

He made some key contributions during West Ham’s successful Premier League survival mission last term, and has started 2020/21 with four goals and one assists in 11 games.

Fans are loving him, and he’s also made an impression on veteran Snodgrass, who told the club’s official website: “First and foremost, Jarrod is a great kid, and he wants to learn. He wants to be better.

“He’s already building relationships with full-backs, strikers, and midfield men running in behind – it’s what’s got him there – so now it’s just little cute things he can add to his game to become a mainstay in the Premier League.

“He’s got all the attributes to do so and he’s got the right attitude. West Ham have got a terrific player.”

Snodgrass also backed Bowen to go on to have a great career for the club.

TBR’s View – Bowen proving outstanding business

He was tearing it up in the Championship, but people still questioned West Ham’s move for Bowen at the time, given the precarious position they were in.

But the £96,000-a-week star (Spotrac) wasted little time justifying his price tag of over £20 million (BBC Sport), and he’s now one of David Moyes’ most important players.

As £10 million star Snodgrass (BBC Sport) says, West Ham have got themselves a terrific player.
