The race for fourth in the Premier League is heating up.
Tottenham and Aston Villa are both desperate to secure Champions League football for next season, and both teams don’t appear to be letting up as we enter the business end of the season.
Indeed, Aston Villa grabbed a dramatic win against Luton on Saturday, while Spurs came from behind to beat Crystal Palace too.
So, which of these two teams will ultimately clinch that much-coveted fourth-place spot?
Well, it’s hard to call at the moment, but, as ever, Robbie Savage has been brave enough to stick his neck on the line.
Speaking on BBC 606, Savage stated that he thinks that Tottenham will just about get ahead of Villa in this race for fourth.

Robbie Savage backs Tottenham to finish fourth
The pundit shared his verdict on who will finish fourth
“Spurs or Villa for me, Man United are out of it, Spurs or Villa. I’ll still just go for Spurs, just edge for Spurs, just,” Savage said.
Difficult
It’s going to be very tough for Tottenham to finish fourth from here.
This weekend’s game against Aston Villa will certainly be decisive, but the four games against Newcastle, Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal back to back towards the end of the season could be make or break for Spurs.
Tottenham have the tougher run between now and the end of the season, but, as we’ve already seen, Spurs do step up in these big games – Liverpool, Arsenal and City all failed to beat Tottenham in the reverse fixtures.
Whether or not Tottenham do manage to finish above Villa remains to be seen, but, at the moment, considering their fixtures and their patchy form in recent months, we’d make Unai Emery’s side favourites to finish in that final Champions League spot.
