Robbie Keane sends cheeky message to Tottenham star Harry Kane
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been showcasing his stunning finishing skills on Instagram. The England striker produced some world-class strikes in England training and Robbie Keane has reacted with a cheeky comment.
Kane isn’t enjoying a great Euro 2020 with England. He is yet to score for the Three Lions and has managed just one shot on target in three group games. He has, however, captained the team into the last 16.
Form is temporary and Gareth Southgate will pick his captain to start against Germany. England face their old enemy at Wembley tomorrow night, with Kane looking to get off the mark.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a fine campaign at Tottenham. He scored 33 goals and registered 17 assists as Spurs finished seventh in the Premier League.
Kane yesterday showcased footage of him doing the three ball challenge in training. It involves taking three shots from three different positions and the Spurs man scored with all three at the first time of asking.
What did Keane think of Tottenham star Kane?
It wasn’t so much his finishing that impressed the ex-Spurs striker. Kane attempted a cartwheel afterwards and that’s what caught the Irishman’s eye.
Keane was notorious for his all-action celebration. His flamboyant cartwheel is one of the more iconic scenes after a goal ever seen in the Premier League.
It’s fair to say Kane’s wasn’t quite as smooth as when Keane used to wheel off after notching. It was somewhat disjointed and clearly needs some work.
Following his dreadful attempts at a cartwheel, the former Tottenham hero took to Instagram.
Whilst others raved about the finishing, Keane opted to take a cheeky swipe at Kane’s attempts at a celebration.
If Kane can fire England to glory tomorrow night, nobody will mind how he celebrates.
