Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler waxed lyrical about Conor Bradley following his epic performance against Chelsea on Wednesday.

The Liverpool legend, speaking on TNT Sports, described the 20-year-old as “absolutely magnificent” as he delivered a “special” display.

Bradley well and truly announced himself to the football world as he registered a goal and two assists against the Blues at Anfield.

The Anfield academy graduate supplied the pass for Diogo Jota to open the scoring in the 23rd minute of the match.

Bradley then got the goal his performance warranted as he raced in from the right and found the far corner with a superb strike on 39 minutes.

The Northern Irishman helped Liverpool add a third with his second assist of the march, crossing for Dominik Szoboszlai to head home in the 65th minute.

Bradley’s heroics led to plaudits aplenty, and Fowler absolutely loved what he saw from the player.

“Conor Bradley was absolutely magnificent,” he said on TNT Sports, as transcribed by BBC Sport.

“Every Liverpool player was brilliant tonight but that was a special performance.

“The manager will have a headache now because I’m not sure you can leave him out of the side.

“Anyone who went over his side, he defended unbelievably.”

Although Chelsea pulled one back in the 70th minute through Christopher Nkunku, Liverpool soon restored their three-goal lead.

In the 79th minute, Darwin Nunez got the better of Thiago Silva before squaring for Luis Diaz to power a simple finish at the far post.

Liverpool academy produces another young star in Conor Bradley

It’s always great to see a young academy graduate break into the first team, and it’s even better to see an amazing performance the likes of which will be remembered throughout his career.

Bradley is an outstanding talent and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop for Liverpool and for Northern Ireland.

Credit also to the Reds youth setup for the role they played in turning another top talent into a bona fide Premier League rising star.
