Robbie Fowler raves about ‘brilliant’ Liverpool player on Twitter, Luis Garcia responds

Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler has waxed lyrical about Reds forward Sadio Mane on Twitter following his impressive Premier League display for Jurgen Klopp’s charges on Monday night.

The 28-year-old helped Liverpool run out 3-1 winners over Arsenal at Anfield, netting the equaliser not long after the Gunners broke the deadlock through Alexandre Lacazette.

Mane, who was booked early on for a coming together with Kieran Tierney, netted on the rebound following great work from Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool went on to win 3-1 as Andrew Robertson netted in the 34th minute and Diogo Jota, who replaced Mane in the 80th minute, added a late third.

Aside from his goal, Mane had another great chance early on and was a constant thorn in Arsenal’s side right until his late substitution.

The Senegal international was relentless with his pressing and created numerous openings for his teammates, prompting Fowler to wax lyrical about the Anfield forward on social media.

And fellow Liverpool cult hero Luis Garcia couldn’t help but poke fun at his former Reds teammate.

Mane has clocked up 174 competitive appearances for Liverpool, registering 84 goals and 34 assists in red since his move from Southampton in 2016.

This season, the 28-year-old has three goals from three league appearances.
