Robbie Fowler has told Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSPORT (Wednesday, 8:10am) that he does not want Jurgen Klopp to leave Liverpool any time soon, when discussing if Rangers boss Steven Gerrard will move to Anfield.
Gerrard has began his managerial career in stunning form at Rangers, taking the Gers to second in the Scottish Premiership last season and closing the gap between themselves and rivals Celtic. He has also impressed in Europe.
The Liverpool legend has masterminded wins over the likes of FC Porto, Feyenoord and more in the Europa League, with the Gers looking likely to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition – as they sit three points above the aforementioned duo.
Liverpool icon Fowler was asked if he sees Gerrard leaving Rangers to replace Klopp at Anfield, and the former Reds striker responded by stating that he would rather Klopp remains in the dugout and continues to push Liverpool to the top.

TBR’s view – Gerrard to Liverpool? Or does he need stepping stone?
Rangers are an enormous club and Gerrard has coped with the pressure of 50,000 fans at Ibrox expecting their side to go toe to toe with Celtic. Both Gerrard and Celtic know that they must win every game, and anything less is a failure.
He is doing an exceptional job at Rangers. But should Gerrard immediately go from Rangers to Liverpool? Or does the Reds legend need experience in the Premier League as a manager before taking over at Anfield?
Probably. A move to a mid-table Premier League side would give Gerrard all the tools needed to then go and manage Liverpool.
