Rob Green’s Aubameyang prediction is worryingly true at Arsenal this season – TBR View
Arsenal have endured a bit of an inconsistent start this season and former England stopper Rob Green’s pre-season prediction about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is worryingly accurate.
The Gunners sit 11th in the table with four wins and four defeats this term. It will be frustrating for Mikel Arteta, who has seen his side at their best at Old Trafford but then torn apart by the likes of Aston Villa.

Star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is struggling to get going, too. And that’s a worrying trend for the Gunners and something that was pointed out by Green in his pre-season predictions for the BBC.
“There is a lot on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s shoulders for goals, though. They can’t afford for him to have an off-day at the moment,” Green said prior to the season starting.
Green’s comments seem correct, too. Aubameyang has only scored two league goals this season and the Gunners’ four defeats have all come in games he hasn’t scored or contributed much.

That is a worrying sign for Arsenal, who are also struggling to get the best from the likes of Alexandre Lacazette.
Big money, new contract, Aubameyang has to do more – TBR View
There is no doubt that Aubameyang is one of the best strikers in the world on his day but at the moment, he’s just not looking like the player Arsenal need him to be.
Two Premier League goals in eight simply isn’t good enough. And that’s for both his club, and on a personal level for a player of his talent.
It does very much seem that the Gunners need their star man firing to be challenging and Mikel Arteta will be hoping the international break will see Aubameyang return fit and firing.
