Sky Sports commentator Andy Hinchcliffe was unimpressed with Leeds United defender Liam Cooper after a ‘poor’ moment in the first-half against Aston Villa.
Cooper made his long-awaited comeback to the Leeds side against Villa today. The 31-year-old was yet to play a single minute in the Premier League this season.
The Scotsman put in a solid display overall, especially after his side were reduced to 10 men after Luis Sinisterra was sent off in the second-half.
But Hinchcliffe criticised Cooper after a moment in the first-half that nearly led to a good chance for Villa.

Commentator unimpressed with Cooper
Cooper’s headed clearance in the 14th minute put the Leeds backline under some pressure.
The centre-back gave the ball straight back to Gerrard’s men and it nearly led to a chance for Philippe Coutinho.
He said: “It’s a poor defensive header from Cooper which gifts the ball back to Villa. Just knock it out of play or take it down!”
“It’s risky from Cooper and Coutinho actually loses his footing. If he had stayed on his feet then he would have tapped it in.”

Cooper will be delighted to be back into the Leeds side after a period on the sidelines. The centre-back put in a solid display and made some crucial headed clearances in the second-half.
Leeds were arguably the better side before the red card but Marsch will probably settle for a point after Sinisterra’s red card.
The Whites looked slightly off the pace after a month out of action due to their last two games being postponed.
Marsch faces a trip to London next weekend as Leeds face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
