It probably takes a lot for Rio Ferdinand to sing the praises of Liverpool players but he’s been doing exactly that on his latest Vibe With Five podcast episode.
The former Manchester United man was discussing all things Premier League following another pulsating weekend of action. And among the discussion points for Ferdinand was Liverpool and their exciting front three of Salah, Mane, and new signing, Luis Diaz.

But while Ferdinand praised Mane’s goal and once again offered up compliments on Salah’s ability, he also reserved praise for Diaz. The Colombian scored his first goal against Norwich with a fine finish and according to Ferdinand, the winger is going to be a real issue for other teams.
“I’ve seen signs of him. Michael Owen by the way, loves him as well. He’s got that swagger about him, that energy. He’s a great signing and he’s gonna be a problem for Liverpool,” Ferdinand said.
Diaz has instantly looked like a Liverpool player in his short time at the club. And with the likes of Jota and Firmino out injured, it’s been perfect timing for Klopp and co.

He’s already a star but in the long-term, Diaz is already looking like he has the potential to be at Salah and Mane levels.
He is looking that good. The energy he shows, the pressing, the touch and class when he gets the ball. It’s all there for all to see and he looks a remarkable signing by Liverpool.
Luis Diaz will score bags of goals for the Reds. This weekend was just the start and he’ll more than fancy his chance against Leeds too this week.
