Rio Ferdinand has sent a three-word Instagram message to Everton defender Michael Keane after the England centre-back helped his side claim an excellent away win over Leicester City at the King Power.

Everton came into the match in some sticky form, having won just two of their last eight Premier League matches. Carlo Ancelotti switched up his defensive options again, with Ben Godfrey showing even more versatility to play at left-back.

Keane, 27, started alongside Yerry Mina and has played every single minute of Everton action this season. He has now helped the Toffees keep two clean sheets in their last two games – having managed only one clean sheet in the previous 11 games.

Richarlison and Mason Holgate got the goals as Everton earned an excellent win, downing Leicester. £65,000-a-week (Spotrac) brute Keane posted on Instagram after the match, with the win taking Everton into a lofty fifth position.

Keane’s current form is giving the 12-time England international the best chance of being named in next summer’s Euro 2021 squad as he continues to impress. Certainly, he is one of a number of players to improve under Carlo Ancelotti’s guidance.
