Liverpool beat Arsenal on Sunday to continue their perfect start to the Premier League season.
It hasn’t been easy at times, but the Reds have won all three of their opening Premier League games this season.

Liverpool haven’t hit top gear yet, and some of their players have been criticised in the early rumblings of this season.
Ibrahima Konate has been criticised at times, while Milos Kerkez has faced scrutiny at times too.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been reviewing Liverpool’s performance against Arsenal, and he’s given an interesting verdict on the Reds’ defence.

Rio Ferdinand praises Liverpool defenders
Ferdinand spoke very highly of Liverpool’s defence during the Arsenal game.
The pundit says that Ibrahima Konate looked back to his old self in this game, while he said that Milos Kerkez is ever improving after signing for the Reds.
“They’ve got a goalkeeper who’s world class. They’ve got Virgil van Dijk who’s world class. Konate looked something like himself again. Solid. He was the one who was going up against Gyokeres most of the time and he handled him really well. Kerez is ever improving although Madueke had him on ice skates a few times,” Ferdinand said.
Milos Kerkez’s stats vs Arsenal
Kerkez has had a slower than anticipated start to life at Liverpool, but against Arsenal he really did step up.
While Noni Madueke had a good game, Kerkez helped to limit the effect he could have on the match.
Madueke may have looked dangerous, but he didn’t score or assist in the match, and that’s because Kerkez was solid at left-back.

| Tackles | 3 |
| Blocked shots | 1 |
| Clearances | 5 |

Three tackles, five clearances and a blocked shot underlines the defensive job Kerkez did at the weekend.
As Ferdinand says, Kerkez is settling in well to life at Anfield, and he does appear to be improving in a red shirt.
Kerkez was brilliant last season, and now, he’s starting to show his ability after making a big-money move to Liverpool over the summer.
