Rasmus Hojlund fired in a brilliant goal for Manchester United as they hammered West Ham today and Rio Ferdinand was delighted to see it.
The young striker opened the scoring with a fine goal from the edge of the box and it fired United on their way to a brilliant 3-0 win over The Hammers.

For Hojlund, it was a big moment where he looked like a top Premier League striker with the bit before the goal just as impressive as the finish.
And taking to X to praise the forward, former United defender Rio Ferdinand admitted he loved what he saw from Hojlund at Old Trafford.
Of course, Ferdinand played with some of the very best defenders at United, including the likes of Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Hojlund has a long way to go to get near those two but the signs are promising and his finish today was excellent.
Hojlund showing potential for Manchester United
It’s looking a bit better for United now and the young duo of Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho are key to that good feeling returning.
The duo were brilliant today and for two players so young to be contributing so much at a club where the pressure is, it bodes well for the future.
Naturally, there is big pressure on the shoulders of Hojlund. Being Manchester United’s number nine is one of the hardest jobs in football and he’ll be feeling good about how things are going right now.
With a bit more work and confidence in his game, he has the potential to become a top striker at PL level.
Indeed, watching a few more clips of those strikers Ferdinand played with would do him the world of good and only improve his game.
Hojlund, then, looks like being a top signing after all.
