Rio Ferdinand says Gabriel Jesus is looking phenomenal after Arsenal win

Rio Ferdinand has told his YouTube channel that Gabriel Jesus is looking phenomenal following his stunning display for Arsenal against Leicester City at the weekend.

The Gunners have made it two wins from two at the start of this campaign. Mikel Arteta’s men made an early statement with their victory over Crystal Palace.

And they have proved a further point on Saturday. Arsenal beat Leicester 4-2 at the Emirates. Once again, some of the football they played going forward was scintillating.

And Jesus was at the heart of everything that went well for the Gunners. He scored the opening two goals. And he provided the two assists for the other goals.

Jesus has made an amazing start to life at Arsenal. He was electric against Palace. And he has now backed that up with goals and assists against the Foxes.

Certainly, Ferdinand believes that signing Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko has changed the game for Arsenal over the course of the summer.

“You have to say that Jesus looks phenomenal at the moment, involved in all four goals,” he told his YouTube channel. “He’s in my dream team, so smashed it for me. But the way you guys are playing, you look like you’ve gone up a level.

“Your recruitment has been first-class. Jesus, top, top, top addition. Zinchenko, two players who came from a winning culture.”

Gabriel Jesus is looking phenomenal

Arsenal have tougher challenges ahead. Leicester have not had the best summer. However, Brendan Rodgers still boasts an incredibly impressive squad.

Jesus is clearly going to make a huge difference to Arsenal’s fortunes. Had they had him last season, they would have surely finished in the top-four.

There is still work to be done to the squad. But, in terms of the starting lineup, the additions of Jesus and Zinchenko could really prove to be the final pieces in the jigsaw.
