Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport (broadcast on 8/5; 14:35) that Jack Harrison was the pick of the bunch in Leeds United’s win over Spurs on Saturday, insisting that he loves the desire the winger shows.
Leeds got back to winning ways in some style at Elland Road. Marcelo Bielsa’s side beat Tottenham 3-1 on a day where several players arguably staked a claim to be man of the match.

But perhaps no player impressed more than Harrison. He played a pivotal role in both of Leeds’s two goals in the first-half.
It was his cross that Sergio Reguilon could only turn towards his own goal. And he played the ball into Gjanni Alioski, who then found Patrick Bamford for the second.
He gave Serge Aurier a torrid afternoon before switching sides and causing just as many problems for Sergio Reguilon.

And following the game, Ferdinand suggested that he was the standout performer for Leeds on one of their most impressive displays this season.
“I thought Harrison today was the pick of the bunch. I thought he was excellent today in everything he did,” he told BT Sport.
“Wow, listen, I think all season, I think he scored against Liverpool at Anfield earlier in the season and I think he’s just continued in that vein of form. As a wide player, he’s comfortable coming inside, playing off both feet,” he went on to add.
“He never stands still this kid. He’s always on the move, energy levels through the roof. I just love his desire.”
TBR View: Signing Harrison permanently should be Leeds’ first port of call this summer
It is difficult to imagine Leeds making any other announcement this summer before they confirm that Harrison’s loan has been converted into a permanent deal.
As noted by The Athletic, the Whites have the option to make the deal permanent for £10 million.
Right now, that fee looks like one of the biggest steals from Andrea Radrizzani’s time at the club.
