Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Tottenham’s Harry Kane has developed to “another level”, as he continues to be a star man under manager Jose Mourinho.

Kane scored from the penalty spot at the weekend in the 2-1 Premier League victory at home to Brighton and it means Spurs currently sit third in the table after their opening seven fixtures in the top-flight.

The 27-year-old striker has been a goal machine since breaking into the first-team fold with the North London outfit, but it looks as though the England captain may have added even more to his game in terms of creativity.

He’s played 12 games so far this campaign in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and setting up nine assists.

Ferdinand has given a glowing verdict on Kane’s contribution at the beginning of the season and pointed towards his new record, with 149 Premier League career goals to his name.

“He is absolutely killing it. Moved into the top 10 of all-time Premier League goalscorers,” Ferdinand told his official Youtube channel.

“Harry Kane, assists and goals in abundance this season, on absolute fire. The guy has taken his game up again to another level. He’s looking to break records. He looks like he’s got that desire to do some big things.”

Kane’s goal record in the Premier League so far is absolutely stunning, netting 149 times in only 217 games.

He is a leading marksman that is so comfortable finishing with left foot, right foot or with his head, plus this new-found creativity he’s adding to his game is only helping to become an even more complete player.

There could be a strong argument behind him being the division’s outstanding player so far this season and his Spurs team should be securing a top four finish at a minimum if he continues.
