Both Tottenham and Chelsea are very keen on Everton striker Richarlison but could be forced to wait it out as they bid to complete a deal.

It’s been widely reported how Richarlison is attracting attention from a number of clubs this summer. Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Barcelona are all thought to have him on their list of potential signings. However, with the Gunners landing Gabriel Jesus, a move from their end seems unlikely now.

The Athletic has reported today that there is strong interest from both Tottenham and Chelsea still. However, while Richarlison is open to leaving Goodison, it’s reported by The Athletic that the Brazilian is in fact in no rush to make a decision on his future.

It’s claimed Richarlison is open to a number of options which could come his way, including staying in the Premier League, where he is more than happy.

The forward is hoping to keep playing regular football this term as the World Cup draws near. He will be aware of the need to feature weekly if he is to make the squad, which could impact his decision.

TBR’s View: Richarlison Has A Big Call To Make With Spurs And Chelsea Keen

The problem Richarlison has is that he knows he is the main man at Everton. Moving to a club challenging in the top four will bring its own problems in that he will have to force his way into the XI.

However, on the flip side, Richarlison is certainly good enough to do that at both Tottenham and Chelsea. Sure, the quality of player is better at both clubs. But he has the ability to make an impression and has been labelled as a ‘special‘ talent in the past.

It’s a big call this for Richarlison and indeed for Everton. The Toffees need the money but will navigate FFP better by selling Calvert-Lewin. Richarlison wants to challenge himself higher up the pyramid, and both Chelsea and Spurs offer him that chance.
