Everton attacker Richarlison has shared several key things he has told new Goodison Park head coach Carlo Ancelotti about his ambitions with the Toffees, in conversation with the Everton website.

Ancelotti was appointed as Marco Silva’s permanent successor at Everton on 21 December and, following on from Duncan Ferguson’s impressive interim spell, has helped turned the Toffees’ fortunes around further.

When Everton parted company with Silva, the Goodison Park side was battling Premier League relegation amid far too many sub-par displays, but now they are 11th in a highly-congested table, just four points off the top six.

The feelgood factor is now back at Goodison Park and Richarlison, who joined Everton in the summer of 2018, gave his opinion on the new manager and how he is sure the Italian will help him progress even more as a footballer.

“Carlo is a great guy,” Richarlison told the Everton website. “He is a really experienced coach and I am learning a lot from him. He is going to teach me and guide me to become this world-class player by doing what he wants.

“I talk to him a lot and have told him to trust me. I will be here… let’s see how far we can go. He helps me. And I have said I am here to help him. I want to learn from Carlo and have told him he can count on me. I can gain so much knowledge from him.”

Richarlison has come a long way since first arriving in the Premier League in 2017 with Watford, even though he impressed from the off and made an immediate impact with the Hornets.

Since then, the 22-year-old has become an essential player for Everton, with 26 goals and six assists from 68 appearances, as well as becoming a regular for Brazil and helping them win the Copa America.

With Ancelotti now at the Everton helm, Richarlison will now be working under one of the most esteemed and decorated managers in football, and along with his skills and talents, his attitude is also top notch – all music to the ears of the Toffees faithful.
