Richarlison shares cheeky message with Everton Soares amid transfer links

Everton are reportedly interested in signing their namesake Everton Soares. Reports first emerged regarding Everton’s interest in the Gremio forward toward the end of last year. 

Over the weekend such reports intensified. Gazeta Esportiva suggested that Everton were keen on the player and that he had spoken personally with Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti. A fee in the region of £25.5 million has been touted. 

Even an Everton player is getting in on the act. Richarlison knows Everton from their time playing for Brazil together. The pair helped Selecao to the Copa America title last year, both scoring in the final in which Everton was named man of the match. 

As reported by Fox Sports Brasil, Richarlison responded to a comment from the Gremio player on his Instagram account. He stated ‘We’re waiting for you, ugly brat hahah’ in what seems a jovial manner.

TBR’s View

It perhaps should not be downplayed how much Richarlison might give Everton an edge in luring the Brazilian international to Goodison Park. 

The pair clearly appear close and it would undoubtedly help him settle to life on Merseyside having someone like Richarlison present. 

Everton also have fellow Brazilian wideman Bernard at the club whilst another native Portuguese speaker in Andre Gomes could also play a role. 

Everton fans want to see recruitment this month and hopefully they can win the race for one of South America’s most wanted talents.
