Richard Keys is continuing his war of words against Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, taking to Twitter once again to slam the Gunners manager.

Keys has made no secret of his anger towards Arteta’s behaviour on the touchline this season. In a series of comments and Tweets, Keys has consistently criticised the Arsenal boss for his antics on the sides. And carrying on his relentless pursuit today, Keys has taken to Twitter once more.

Jumping on the back of a report and opinion on Arteta from the the Daily Mirror, the former Sky Sports anchor quote tweeted, claiming Arteta is effectively dragging Arsenal’s name through the mud.

The Arsenal manager is one of the most intense in the Premier League when it comes to encouraging his team from the technical area – and beyond.

However, he has come under fire from more than one person and Keys is keen to point that out here. Whether or not his one-man crusade against the Arsenal man is helping this, is up for debate.

Arteta, meanwhile, will simply plough on as he is. Unless he is warned or sent off for doing as he is, then nothing will change. And in a way, it could even help create the ‘us against the world’ mentality Arteta seems to be instilling.

TBR’s View: Arteta will eventually get told

Keys isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and at times can make some bold statements. But he does seem to have a point with this one.

Arteta is surely going to get some sort of warning along the way. He was a bit out of line against Newcastle for what was essentially nothing. Neither of the ‘scandalous’ penalty claims he believes his side should have had were penalties.

Is it a sign of Arteta buckling under pressure a bit? It remains to be seen, but he must calm down in certain moments.
