Richard Keys has now made an interesting comment about Jose Mourinho and Manchester United.
The 66-year-old revealed the information when writing on his blog.
So, what did Richard Keys write about Manchester United and Jose Mourinho? Let’s take a look…
What Richard Keys revealed about Mourinho and Manchester United
Well, the BeIN Sports pundit claimed that the 61-year-old once told him that he knew Manchester United would sack him after Paul Pogba was overlooked for three consecutive matches.
Keys wrote: “His latest sacking in Rome followed the usual pattern – row, rant, then retreat with the money.
“He once told me he knew he’d be sacked at United for leaving Pogba out of three consecutive games – at a time when the Frenchman’s stock was at its highest. All planned, and it worked perfectly. He wanted the sack. He got it.”
Keys was discussing the Portuguese tactician amid a story from the Daily Mail – which claims that he would love to make a return to Chelsea and replace Mauricio Pochettino.

Of course, there was a lot of pressure on Mourinho to play Pogba at Old Trafford, given the 30-year-old’s status as an £89m signing, and player power in modern football is very strong.
Ultimately – however – there were other factors to take into account.
Manchester United were sixth in the Premier League when Mourinho was sacked, with the BBC claiming that players and staff were left upset by a “disappointing and unsettling period” under the 61-year-old.
Manchester United could rehire Mourinho
Chelsea are not the only Premier League club being linked with the unemployed Mourinho.

A separate story from the Daily Mail claimed that the man from Setúbal feels he has unfinished business at Old Trafford, and would be open to making a return to Manchester United if Erik ten Hag is sacked.
Therefore, whoever decides to hand over a P45 first out of Manchester United and Chelsea could swiftly receive a message from Jorge Mendes – Mourinho’s agent.
