Richard Keys has taken a pop shot at Liverpool and questioned where the loyalty of Rangers boss Steven Gerrard lies during an astonishing rant on his personal blog.
The former Sky Sports broadcaster believes Liverpool’s season is in danger of becoming tainted if they were to be handed the Premier League title.
Given the hiatus for the global health pandemic, it is uncertain what will come of the 2019/20 campaign.

Keys tore into Liverpool in his latest blog despite their impressive campaign.
He wrote: “Let’s get this clear straight away. Liverpool have been magnificent at times this season, they’ve blown teams away and looked invincible. It looked as though they’d set a new points record in the PL, I think we can all agree?
“Of course it looks as though they’re going to win the title but they haven’t won it. Who knows? Their form in recent games has been sobering for their fans. They’ve been poor. Very very poor. Have Klopp’s infamous demands caught up with them again?
“Apologies, by the way, if your team plays lower down – but who cares about that? Liverpool fans appear not to. Liverpool cannot be handed a title they haven’t won. If they do take a title in such fashion it will be forever tainted as the ‘title you didn’t win'”.
Keys also laid into Steven Gerrard, questioning whether he cares if Celtic are handed the title in Scotland.
Rangers trail the Hoops by 13 points having played a game more but Keys thinks Gerrard might have his head back at Liverpool and their situation.
He continued: “All of the above applied to England. What about Scotland? Should Celtic by given a title they haven’t won? Of course, they shouldn’t and as manager of Rangers, Steven Gerrard should be making that very point. Or is he more concerned about Liverpool? It makes you wonder doesn’t it?”
Liverpool will desperately hope that the Premier League can resume as soon as possible.
Rant
Klopp’s team are potentially just a single win away from the title and it would be a travesty if they weren’t to lift the trophy.
For Keys to stick the boot into Gerrard it just feels really bizarre.

Since arriving at Ibrox, there have been no doubts at all about the integrity of Gerrard who has spoken passionately about being in the position he is.
Rangers seems unlikely to win the title but many supporters believe they are on the right track under Gerrard.
Of course, the former England international will want Liverpool to win the title but it’s unfair to say he cares more about that than the work he is doing at Ibrox.
