Moussa Sissoko completed 90 minutes in the win over Crystal Palace on Saturday – and some of the Tottenham fans on Twitter went wild about the quality of his performance.
Spurs earned a narrow 1-0 win away at Palace at Selhurst Park, as defender Juan Foyth scored the winning goal with his second-half header.
The North London club remain fourth in the Premier League table, but are temporarily just two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
A selection of Spurs fans on social media singled out midfielder Sissoko after the match for his individual display and believe he was integral to earning three league points.
Sissoko has enjoyed a fairly miserable time sine he joined Spurs, but is now enjoying his best form for them and becoming a crucial player.
The 29-year-old Frenchman is a central midfielder with an incredible work-rate and provides a physical presence in the centre of the park.
Mousa Dembele is expected to be sidelined with an injury for Spurs until the New Year and that has opened the door massively in the midfield for somebody to take his shirt.
Sissoko is now in the good books of manager Mauricio Pochettino and supporters have also changed their opinion on him after a rocky start.
Here are some of the Spurs fans tweets on Sissoko’s latest display:
