Martin Keown has told Match of the Day that Alexandre Lacazette was a revelation for Arsenal in their win over Aston Villa on Friday.
The Gunners produced a stunning display to beat the Villans at the Emirates ahead of the weekend. They were 3-0 up inside the hour and had been absolutely dominant up until that point.

And Lacazette was absolutely outstanding. He was named in the starting lineup after producing a superb display off the bench against Crystal Palace on Monday. Of course, it was the Frenchman was scored the stoppage-time equaliser against the Eagles.
He was actually used in more of a second striker role against Villa, playing behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
And the move proved to be inspired. He was involved in so much of what Arsenal did well against Villa. And obviously, he won the penalty on the stroke of half-time after getting in front of Matt Targett as the full-back slid in to try and win the ball.

And Keown has suggested that Lacazette must play more going forward after his performance on Friday.
“I think the young players really appreciate him,” he told Match of the Day. “He played off the front in the game on Friday night and he was a revelation in that position because he pressed really well out of possession.
“He linked up tremendously well. I think Aubameyang likes having him in the team as well.”
Lacazette forcing Arsenal into potential rethink over his future
Of course, Lacazette is out of contract at the end of the season. And it had appeared for some time that the Gunners were expecting to lose the Frenchman in one of the upcoming windows.
He had actually not made a Premier League start this season before Friday.
But he is now leaving Arsenal with food for thought. On current form, there is no way that the Gunners cannot try to extend his contract.
