Arsenal are preparing to take on Nottingham Forest this weekend as they seek to get back to winning ways after losing to PSV in midweek.

The Gunners sat atop of the Premier League table going into this weekend. However, a win for Manchester City has put Pep Guardiola’s men at the summit. It means Arsenal must see off a reinvigorated Forest side to reclaim their spot.

Of course, spirits remain high in the Arsenal camp despite midweek. And in the latest batch of training photos released, it seems Mikel Arteta is continuing to integrate young players into the squad. The latest of which appears to be 17-year-old defender, Reuell Walters.

Pictured below battling with Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli, Walters is well known to Arteta anyway. The teenager featured in pre-season over America, earning a glowing reference for a performance against Everton.

Certainly, it seems Arteta and Arsenal aren’t scared to incorporate young players into the mix at London Colney.

Walters is among a number of new faces to be seen on the grass this season. Indeed, we all remember how Arteta gave a debut to 15-year-old Ethan Nwaneri earlier in the campaign.

It seems unlikely that Arteta will include Walters in the squad to face Forest but there is no doubt the Gunners seem flush with exciting young talents.

Walters must be doing something right to have featured in pre-season. Further, to be still involved in training when the Gunners are top of the league shows he is still impressing.

Arsenal fans love to see a young player making their way in the game. Reuell Walters, then, might well be one of the next off the conveyor belt.
