Liverpool have recently been linked with a move for talented Brazilian youngster Talles Magno.

As reported by The Mirror, Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the Vasco da Gama striker who has been likened to Brazilian superstar Neymar in recent times, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The talented 17-year-old is considered one of Brazil’s best young players and with the Brazilian side reportedly struggling financially, Liverpool could be ready to test the waters and snap up the wonderkid.

A recent report from The Mirror suggested that Benfica were also keen on the player but have had a £2.5 million offer rejected for his services.

So it is clear Liverpool would need to pay more than that for Magno, but how much is he available for?

It seems that Vasco are still determined to get a fair amount for their teenage star. A report from Foot Mercato recently revealed an apparent €50 million release clause.

However, reports in Brazil are now suggesting that is inaccurate.

As reported by Metropoles and Terra over the past few weeks, Magno signed a new contract with Vasco in November last year, keeping him at the club until December 2022.

It also saw his release clause reportedly set to R$200 million. Converted from Brazilian Real to Pound Sterling, that is a figure in the region of £28 million.

If Liverpool want Magno, then it appears that is the amount they will need to pay to secure his release from the Brazlian side.

Considering the club are currently trepidatious regarding big-spending on more proven talents, such as Timo Werner, such a big fee for Magno seems unlikely.
