Reports: Leeds United and Everton tracking Bosnian playmaker Amer Gojak
Leeds United and Everton are both said to be interested in a move for Dinamo Zagreb star Amer Gojak, according to reports.
The Bosnian has been dubbed the ‘new Dani Olmo’ by a report from Corriere dello Sport, for stepping up and replacing the Spanish international since his £17 million (Goal) move to RB Leipzig in January.
That same report mentions Leeds as interested in the playmaker, along with Italian outfits Bologna and Sassuolo and German side Hertha Berlin.
Everton’s interest is being reported in Croatia. Sportske Novosti is reporting that a summer exit for Gojak is likely and Everton are reportedly keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, along with Fiorentina and Atalanta.
It’s claimed Everton have been scouting Gojak for a number of months.
The attacking midfielder could be a cost-effective addition for either club this summer, with Leeds looking for potential Premier League recruits should they win promotion to the top-flight.
Everton on the other hand do not particularly need Gojak, an attacking midfielder, when they have major gaps in other areas of the field.
But it is clear the 23-year-old has something that has attracted both clubs and it will be interesting to see how this transfer story pans out.
