Leeds United ended up having a fruitful transfer deadline day. Goalkeeper Ilan Meslier and striker Eddie Nketiah both arrived on loan from Lorient and Arsenal respectively.
However, one player they reportedly missed out on was talented Inter Milan youngster Facundo Colidio.
FC Inter News reported on deadline day that Leeds had deals in place to sign both Irish defender Ryan Nolan and the Argentine striker from the Nerazzurri on deadline day. However, the deal for Nolan fell through as he did not want to be loaned out to Kilmarnock. The report states a deal for Colidio collapsed as Leeds would not meet his £5.5 million asking price.

It was a shame for Leeds, as Colidio is certainly a bright talent. The former Boca Juniors striker has caught the eye in Inter’s Primavera, scoring five goals in as many games in last seasons UEFA Youth League.
Now it seems the 19-year-old is heading elsewhere.
Whilst the transfer window may be shut in the Championship, it remains open across Europe – including in Belgium.
As reported by GianlucaDiMarzio, the teenager is set to join Belgian side Sint-Truiden on loan for the 2019-20 campaign. TNT Sports state it will be a straight loan deal, with no permanent option included. He will be playing with former Leeds United winger Jordan Botaka, who is the Canaries captain.
Leeds United will no doubt be keeping tabs on Colidio’s performances in Belgian football and assessing any potential future rekindling of interest in his services.
