Tottenham have been linked with a move for Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon throughout the summer transfer window.
And the latest from the Evening Standard is that the deal is being held up by Fulham’s demands for a Spurs player in part-exchange.
Meanwhile, the Mirror report that Spurs made a late swoop to hijack Arsenal’s bid to sign teenage central defender William Saliba from St Etienne.
And both players have ‘liked’ Nike’s Instagram post about Tottenham’s new kit, which was released today – could they have dropped a hint that they’re about to join Spurs?

In truth, the Mirror’s latest report still makes it appear that the pendulum has swung Arsenal’s way in terms of Saliba, and it is the Gunners who have been in pole position throughout the summer.
Perhaps the defender’s Instagram activity might be enough to have some Gunners fans worried that they are set to miss out once more in a summer which has seen their window business falter somewhat.
Meanwhile, it would be a major shock if Sessegnon isn’t a Tottenham player by the time the window closes, although it is a surprise that Spurs have been to nonchalant about landing a player who has a dwindling contract and is one of the hottest properties in English football right now.
While it would be silly to read too much into social media activity, some Spurs fans may be excited that two reported targets are keeping a keen eye on what they’re doing.
