Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Pierluigi Gollini valued at £27m

Tottenham Hotspur have recently been credited with an interest in the Italian goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, but it seems they will need to pay a fortune to sign the Atalanta talent. 

Tottenham were linked with the player earlier in the year, although The Mirror later came out and claimed there was absolutely no interest from Jose Mourinho’s side in the player. 

But Tuttosport has again claimed that Tottenham have an interest in the player but that Atalanta will not be willing to talk about a sale for less than €30 million (£27m). 

At that price, it seems unlikely that Tottenham will be making a move for the player, despite the renewed claims regarding their apparent interest. 

Tottenham are at a stage where they need to start considering a new goalkeeper. Hugo Lloris has been a great servant to the club but at 33-years-old, Tottenham need to start considering his potential long-term successor. 

That has seen the likes of Andre Onana, Dean Henderson, Mike Maignan and Pau Lopez all linked with moves to Tottenham in recent weeks. 

But given the previous reports doubting the interest and the apparent price-tag on Gollini’s head, it seems the Italian is unlikely to be the answer to the Lloris conundrum.
