West Ham United are reportedly keen to sign Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama in January.
According to Fanatik, the Hammers scouted the ace in the Turkish club’s recent Champions League games against Club Brugge and Paris Saint-Germain, as did representatives of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Luyindama has attracted attention with a string of commanding displays at the back this term, after signing for the club permanently following a loan spell from Standard Liege.
Apparently he would cost potential buyers in the region of €15 million/£13 million to sign, and it’s a deal West Ham should be seriously considering in January.
TBR’s view
Luyindama could be a really positive, value for money signing for the Irons, who could do with bolstering their squad defensively in the next transfer window.

Theoretically, the Congo international would be a scary proposition for attackers if paired alongside Issa Diop – certainly they would win a lot of aerial duels per game between them.
Winston Reid continues to struggle with injury and realistically he cannot be counted on long-term so cover is needed.
Additionally, Luyindama has the capacity to play as a holding midfielder – currently, Manuel Pellegrini has just one out-and-out ‘number six’ in Declan Rice.
