Tottenham Hotspur failed to make a signing as the initial deadline passed on Monday, but it appears that Jose Mourinho’s men still have work to do in the transfer market.
As noted by the Daily Mail on Monday, Spurs are discussing a move for Swansea City centre-back Joe Rodon.

The Mail did suggest that the two clubs were some way apart in their valuations, with the Swans keen to bag £18 million for the 22-year-old.
But with the two clubs still able to discuss a potential deal for a while longer, it appears that there is enough time for an agreement to be reached.

And should the opportunity to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium come up, you would imagine that Rodon would jump at the chance.
The move would see the centre-back link up with international teammates Gareth Bale and Ben Davies. And based on comments Rodon made in 2017, it would appear that he would love to work alongside Bale on a regular basis.
‘On a different level’
Rodon was brought in to train with the Wales squad. And the then-19-year-old could not praise Bale high enough after getting to watch him up close.
“It was amazing – I have never experienced anything like it,” he told Swansea’s official website.
“Gareth Bale was on a different level, as you would expect. Everything he did was up there – you could see why he is one of the best players in the world even in one training session.”
Of course, Spurs will be hoping that Rodon needs little persuasion to join the club anyway if talks reach that stage.
But perhaps it will be even more tempting to join at a time when Bale has returned to North London, and Mourinho appears to have the club moving in the right direction again.
