Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Milot Rashica this summer – and Reds fans may be excited to note he has previously been compared to a once top-class player.
According to German publication Bild, Jurgen Klopp has included the 23-year-old Werder Bremen winger on his list of targets ahead of the next transfer window.
Bremen have been struggling over the in the Bundesliga, but Rashica has been the team’s shining light, contributing 10 goals and four assists, although he hasn’t made any goal contributions for seven league games.

Werder’s position is precarious, and relegation would certainly boost Liverpool’s chances of landing Rashica if they did decide to go in for him this summer.
His statistics are decent, but football of course stretches beyond just numbers, and fans will want a proper lowdown on Rashica and the way he plays
Thankfully there is some information provided on the player by the Bundesliga’s official website, which believes the star has a play style similar to that of Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez.

They say: “A one-man attacking force with pace to burn, the Bremen talisman has that self-same stocky build and low centre of gravity that made Sanchez such an overwhelming prospect for opposition defenders back in his Barcelona and Arsenal days. He loves a set-piece goal, too.”
It’s also stated the Kosovo international can play anywhere across the frontline and has ‘ice-cold finishing’.
TBR’s view – One for fans to watch
Rashica definitely sounds like a talent based off that description, and Liverpool fans ought to try and watch out for him between now and the end of the season.

The word is that he has a release clause of £31.5 million, but Werder potentially going down could mean they’d be forced to accept less.
Xherdan Shaqiri’s future has been speculated over a fair bit this season and the Switzerland international may seek pastures new this summer, which could then see the Reds pursue the supposedly Sanchez-esque Rashica.
