Leeds United have received a boost in their hunt for Samuel Yohou this summer as the player is now officially a free agent.
It was reported last month that Leeds United are keen on the talented French defender. Le10 Sport claimed that Leeds had been ‘looking carefully’ at the Paris FC defender throughout 2019-20.
Coventry City and Crotone were also said to be keen but there was still the chance Yohou might re-sign a new deal with the Ligue 2 side.

However, as confirmed on the club’s official website that is not the case. The club thanked the 27-year-old for his ‘commitment’ and ‘involvement’ with the club before wishing him the best in his ‘future challenges’.
Yahoo is therefore a free agent and will undoubtedly be back on Victor Orta’s radar.
However, it could be that Yohou is only a player of interest to Leeds if they fail to win promotion. It is hard to see how the defender would be considered Premier League quality at this stage of his career.
Whilst Leeds will be in the market for a new centre-back next season, with Ben White’s loan spell coming to an end, Yohou might not have Leeds fans smacking their lips with excitement.
