Bayern Munich midfielder Angelo Stiller has suggested he would consider a move away if it made sense for his career and Arsenal have been linked with the German.

German newspaper SportBild reported back in May that the Gunners held an interest in the 19-year-old highly-rated talent.

With his contract due to expire in 2021, the report explains one possibility is that he could exit with the option of a buy-back clause for Bayern.

Stiller has been promoted from Bayern’s under-19s side to their reserve team, who play in the third-tier of German football and have won the title this season.

The left-footed defensive midfielder became a regular in the starting XI for Bayern Munich II when linking up with them full midway through the season and his reputation has grown.

He has made it clear that he would be open to a possible transfer away from Bayern if it helped his development.

“I am a Bavarian through and through. Munich is my home, but of course I have to see where I would be best suited, from a best sporting perspective,” Stiller told Kicker.

TBR’s View:

It would show a great desire for any young player to leave Bayern in search of first-team action and Stiller is a growing talent that Arsenal should consider pursuing.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta hasn’t been hesitant to give young players an opportunity at the Emirates Stadium and the breakthrough of Bukayo Saka in recent months is testament to that.

Arsenal’s pulling power to attract young players should be at an all-time high right now, but it’s crucial that they also look towards potential marquee signings too if they want to improve.
