Report: Wolves willing to consider 'high offers' for Adama Traore
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly open to selling Adama Traore this summer.
According to The Daily Mail, the Black Country club would entertain ‘high offers’ for the Spanish speedster, who enjoyed the best campaign of his career in 2019/20.
Traore regularly caught the eye last term for having a much improved final ball to accompany his incredible physical attributes.
In a whopping 54 games, the ace provided 12 assists and scored six goals.
Traore’s performances were lapped up by neutral fans, with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola also both showering praise on the 24-year-old after performances against Liverpool and Manchester City.
The ex-Barcelona man – who earns £43,000-a-week (Spotrac) – is the club’s prized asset, and it would seem Wolves would be happy to cash in for the right price.
TBR’s View – Wolves right to invite interest
No Wolves fan would particularly want to see the back of Traore, but there is potential here for the club to rake in a mammoth fee that could then be reinvested to strengthen the team.
Wolves reportedly declaring themselves open to selling might just plant the seed for some of Europe’s big clubs.
There’s no doubt Traore is an electrifying talent, but Wolves do have cover in the form of Daniel Podence who looks like he could be a terrific signing.
Selling Traore for a premium price would allow Nuno Espirito Santo to strengthen other areas of the team.
