According to a report from The Sun on Sunday (3/11; page 61), Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant after his outstanding start to the season.

Wolves have made a steady start to this season. Their form in the Premier League has arguably deserved praise considering that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are also battling in the Europa League.

Goals have not been easy to come by. Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore are the only players to have scored more than once in the top flight this term. And it appears that Nuno Espirito Santo is now keen to strengthen his options.

The report notes that the Terriers are likely to want more than £10 million for the former Charlton Athletic man. So it will be interesting to see whether Wolves deem that asking price to be reasonable.

What will perhaps encourage Nuno about Grant is the fact that the 22-year-old has impressed at the highest level.

Despite only signing in January, he finished as Huddersfield’s top goalscorer in the Premier League last year. Four goals in 13 appearances, including just nine starts was arguably a remarkable return given his side’s struggles.

Grant may be reluctant to move again so quickly. But he would also be forgiven for being tempted by a potential switch to Molineux, particularly as Wolves are in with a good chance of being able to offer European football during the second-half of this season.
